Attention Marshland Credit Union Members: Fraud Alert and Awareness
Unfortunately, fraud is everywhere in today’s world. Beware of phone calls or e-mails asking for your personal financial information; especially account numbers credit card numbers and passwords. Never give out any information about your accounts over the phone! No one from Marshland Credit Union will ever ask you for personal information over the phone. Recently there have been reports that residents in the Golden Isles area have received telephone calls from individuals identifying themselves as Marshland Credit Union’s Security Department. These phone calls are fraudulent and are perpetrated by criminals who are trying to scam you. These calls are not from Marshland Credit Union. A legitimate institution, such as Marshland Credit Union will never ask you for account numbers, credit card or debit card numbers, or passwords over the phone.
Protect yourself. Do not ever give any information concerning your financial accounts, personal information, or debit and credit cards over the phone. If you receive one of these fraudulent telephone calls, call Marshland at 912-279-2000.
