Marshland Federal Credit Union

July 2007

The final touches are being put on Marshland’s newest branch, Gateway. Located at 227 Gateway Center Boulevard near Golden Isles Parkway, the new Gateway Branch will be more convenient for members who live and work in west Glynn County. Although the exact date of the Grand Opening hasn’t been announced, Marshland expects its newest branch to open around mid-August.

The new two story building will include 10,000 square feet of floor space, a drive-through window and ATM, in addition to Marshland’s regular credit union services such as CDs, IRAs and other investment services, auto and mortgage loans, and savings and check-ing account services. Marshland’s Gateway branch will also have a new service to offer members – safety deposit boxes. Now members will have a safe and secure place to store their most important documents, such as property deeds, insurance policies and wills.

Shannon Clark, Gateway’s newly designated Branch Manager, is excited about moving into the beautiful new building. She said, “I can’t wait for the new branch to open and for our members to start walking through the door. They’ll see some old familiar faces and a few new faces too. But we’ll all be ready to offer our members the same great service they’re used to getting in the other branches.”

Now is the time, and more than ever, Marshland’s the place.

Shannon Clark Named Manager for New Gateway Branch

We are pleased to announce that Shannon Clark will fill the position of Manager at Marshland’s new Gateway branch, which is scheduled to open in August. Shannon has been a part of Marshland’s staff for more than 12 years and has worked in almost every department in the credit union. At the age of 17, she began her career as a teller, when there were only 15 employees at the credit union. She has also served as a receptionist, and her tenure with the credit union has included work in the Accounting department. She has served as Member Service Supervisor for the last two-and-a-half years.

Ms. Clark said, “I’ve seen a lot of changes here at Marsh-land over the past 12 years, but the one thing that hasn’t changed is our commitment to our members.” She went on to add, “The most satisfying aspect of my job is being able to help people. It doesn’t matter whether it’s helping a member resolve a problem with their account or helping a coworker complete a project, it brings me an immense feel-ing of satisfaction.” That attitude, along with her years of experience with Marshland, makes her the ideal person for the Branch Manager position at Gateway.

Congratulations Shannon.
