Marshland Needs Your Updated Account Informationn!

1. Why do we need your updated account information?
It is important that we always have your current phone numbers, mailing address, and email address. Without your current information, Marshland would be unable to reach you should there be questions about your account, or your VISA debit or credit card or possible fraud on your account.

2. Have you recently moved?
If so, then make sure we have your most current mailing address so that your Marshland statements will get to the correct address.

3. Have you recently changed cell phones or cell phone companies?
If so, then you may have a new cell number. Make sure your cell phone number is updated on your account so we can reach you when there are questions, such as fraudulent activity, about your account.

4. Have you disconnected your home phone or maybe you're using your cell phone as your primary phone now?
It’s important to update your phone numbers to reflect this change. Just let us know and we can replace your home number with your cell phone number.

5. Do you have a Marshland VISA debit or credit card?
Marshland has a Fraud Monitoring System that uses a predictive model to score the likelihood of a fraudulent transaction. Each transaction is compared to the cardholder’s previous habits and compares the characteristics of the transaction to those reported with fraud. If the transaction scores high and fraud is suspected, then your card maybe restricted until they can reach you to verify the transaction. If we don’t not have your current phone numbers, we won’t be able to reach you by phone. In this case they would mail you a letter. In the meantime, your card will not work if the Fraud department has restricted it.  Just imagine the inconvenience of having your card denied simply because we could not reach you by phone.

6. What if your card gets compromised?
Sometimes Retail and Merchant processing systems get compromised.  When a processing system is hacked into, debit and credit card information is stolen used fraudulently. It is rare, but it does happen. If this does happen, we would notify you by letter about the compromise of your card and to let you know a new card has been ordered for you.  We would also notify you that your old card will be blocked in two weeks and what to do should you see any questionable activity on your card.

7. Have you changed jobs since you opened your Marshland account?
If so, have you updated your work number on your account? If you haven’t updated your information, it’s likely we won’t be able to reach you during the day should questions arise on your account.

8. How do I change my account information?
It’s easy. Just visit any Marshland branch and any teller or representative will be happy to update your information for you. Or, simply mail in the Change of Address form with a copy of your driver’s license and we will gladly update your information.
